History
Starting back in 1957, Hyatt is a brand that has been centered around family from the beginning. Two brothers worked to build Hyatt into what it is today, and they are still focused on caring for guests and providing a space where they can feel at home.

Located on International Drive in Orlando, Hyatt Regency Orlando is a hotel and convention center that prides itself on fulfilling the Hyatt family promise and providing great service and exceptional care.
Before the Hyatt Regency Orlando of today, the hotel was only 32-stories tall and had 891 rooms. Constructed in 1986 as the Peabody Orlando, it was bought by Hyatt in 2013. Just before Hyatt bought the hotel, the Peabody Orlando doubled its occupancy with a $400 million expansion that provided the hotel with 1,641 rooms.
